Mark Sange also known as
Captain Marco is a fun, vibrant licensed captain (100ton US
Coast Guard License) who always places safety first. Born in the
Bay Area, he began sailing on Lake Merrit and quickly progressed
to racing on his neighbors boat in the San Francisco Bay. His passion for
sailing and adventure has taken him all over the world. For 19
years he owned and chartered a 62' sloop in Greece and Turkey
and in the winters was often sailing in the Caribbean. He has
sailed everything from 12' Lasers to 110' schooners. When he and
his family returned and settled in the San Francisco area he had
a motor tour boat built and ran it successfully from Pier 39 for
five years. However, he missed the fun and thrill of sailing, so
he sold the business and went looking for his dream boat. He
found Evening Star. Now he's so happy to share it with you. he
says, "If your not having fun its not worth it, time is too
precious so let's go sailing!"
